ACNE - PICKEL


By excessive sebum production, coupled with a keratinization, acne clog the sebaceous glands, and there are the so-called blackheads (comedones). These can become inflamed by bacteria, pimples are formed. A distinction between open comedones (black heads), pimples closed comedones (whitish nodules) and pustules or (inflamed pimples). Moreover, we distinguish between the easy, superficial acne and severe, deep acne with deep under the skin inflamed nodes. The deep acne often leads to scar formation, while the superficial acne which only by wrong treatment ("hang around") to scars. Very often the acne occurs during puberty and even then heals without treatment, but there are also 25-30-year acne patients. Usually affects the face, chest, back and shoulders, sometimes only some of these areas.

Common causes
* Hormonal changes during puberty, sometimes even during the period or during pregnancy.
* Bacterial infection of the blackheads.
* Inappropriate, too much fat, comedogenic cosmetics (cosmetics, the skin is irritating to the formation of blackheads).
* Certain drugs or chemicals (e.g. chlorine).
* Whether the diet plays a role is controversial.

What can you do
* Twice daily wash the skin with a mild disinfectant soap or cleanser.
* Do not hang around on the skin, as this only exacerbates the inflammation. Blackheads can be softened and opened lightly with a Acne.
* Sunlight can relieve acne.
* Special-acne cosmetics to use.
* Applying antiseptic or drying creams or gels, e.g. with benzoyl peroxide.
* For soothing inflamed skin compresses and masks hang (Chamomile, healing clay).

When you need a doctor.
* If you are not satisfied your treatment success.
* If the acne appears to be hormonal.
* In case of strong inflammation and suppuration.

What your doctor can do.
* Regulation of strong acting peeling ointments.
* Regulation of an antibiotic of hormone preparations (e.g., birth control pill) or vitamin A acid tablets.
